Modeling Productivity Reduction and Fuel Consumption in Open-Pit Mining Trucks by Considering the Temporary Deterioration of Mining Roads through Discrete-Event Simulation

Open pit mining is based on dynamic operations within the open pit, with haulage operation being most decisive in terms of cost and overall productivity operation. A vital aspect for success are conditions roads, which change over time due to wear tear.
